WILLIAM C. CAMPBELL was born February 7, 1816 and died January 31, 1864. He married his wife, Mary Ann Axtell Campbell, on February 20, 1840. She was born August 8, 1815 and died March 21, 1893.

They had eight children:

1. Thomas A. Campbell, born October 21, 1841. No date of death. Married to Delila D. Webster Campbell on December 25, 1861. She was born in Septmber 1836. No date of death.

2. Sarah Campbell , born October 20, 1843 and died October 26, 1919. She married Alfred McDonald on August 30, 1866.

3. William Johnstone Campbell, born July 31, 1845 and died April 14, 1924, aged 78 years, 8 months, and 14 days. He married Mary Elizabeth Smith Campbell on May 6, 1875. She was born on October 15, 1849 and died October 21, 1926.

4. John Marlin Campbell was born June 6, 1847 and died January 17, 1943 in Boulder, Colorado. He married Lizzie Massey Campbell.

5. Mary Ann Campbell was born June 7, 1849 and died June 1919. She married Charles Wester.

6. A daughter was born on April 26, 1851. She died May 17, 1851, aged 3 weeks and 1 day.

7. Andrew Marcus Campbell was born October 5, 1852 and died July 21, 1945. He married Mary Matilda Loren on September 20, 1877. She was born on June 24, 1853 and died July 6, 1927.

WILLIAM C. CAMPBELL's Father:

Name was ANDREW CAMPBELL. Don't know whether he was born in Scotland or Ohio. His wife's name was Sarah Johnstone Campbell. Her mother's maiden name was Marlin and she married a Johnstone. She had a brother, John Marlin. He was killed by the Indians, had seven gun shot wounds in the body and seven tomahawk wounds in the head.

The above information was in a letter dated December 20,1922, from Joseph's older brother, John Marlin Campbell, who lived in Boulder, Colorado.
